About the Artist

John Gould

Mountain Glory Photography

John spent much of his youth and formative years leaving the trails behind him and entered a world of awe. This is where he climbed and backpacked  in the untamed wilderness areas, where few have ventured to go. He learned and trained to thrive in all that nature had to give him.

Today, John is on an adventure of a lifetime as he  travels, lives, breathes and thrives, on and off the trail with his head on a swivel and camera in hand. He is not  wanting to miss anything in Alaska which contains 633,268 square miles. He has a  unique way of capturing Alaska's untamed wilderness, wildlife, history and to share all of it's  beauty.   John's prints are  almost exclusively on metal because the  colors are so vibrant and the radiance is breathtaking.  All the  opportunities that Alaska has to offer here, are  to live in your heart and home.

He has been featured in Make a Scene magazine, received awards at Alaska state fair, he has been a sole exhibitor at Eagle River Jitters coffee shop, an exhibitor at Colony Christmas, Christmas Arts & Crafts Emporium, Christmas Village, shot as a guest photographer for "Azusa Now" and for "Let us Worship" with Shawn Foyt.  John has also shot for the Oregon Valley Boys album cover, been selected for Saturday's special edition of FASO prestigious Informed Collector newsletter, shot for an national quilt winner Mary Olson,  and currently has his art for sale at the "Palmer  senior center" gift shop. John is also the head photographer for the Willow 300 and will  be included in a book to be soon released
